Bright Bedroom Interior with White CurtainsWe can take advantage of natural lighting that comes from the sunlight to illuminate the home interior. The sunlight makes the room way healthier and not humid.Surely this is an energy-saving and environmentally friendly effort, and also saving on electricity bills.

The size of the existing openings and their level of transparency will determine whether or not a lot of natural light get into your home. The wider and transparent the openings are, the greater the intensity of natural light comes into the space.

Now there are a lot of natural light intensity controllers which can be useful when you have a really bright day. With these tools you can achieve the convenience of using natural light.

The following are some tools that can be used to control the amount of sunlight in the room:

1. Curtain
Curtain has a function as an opening cover as well as a room divider. In setting the intensity of the incoming natural light, curtain serves as a light filter and it can be set flexibly by folding it vertically. The thickness of the curtain fabrics and the color will also affect the amount of natural light when in the closed condition. The thinner and brighter the curtain is, the greater the intensity of natural light obtained.

2. Vitrage
Similar to curtains, vitrages have weak filter power. This is because vitrage is made of hollowed fabric material featuring the color white which is very weak in filtering the incoming light.

3. Screen
A screen is installed in accordance to the size of an opening (window) by placing the frame on the outside of the opening. In addition to reducing the incoming light, the screen also inhibits direct view between outdoor and indoor space.

4. Sun-shading
Sun shadings have the same function with the former tools, which is to filter the light coming into the room. Sun-shading is divided into two types based on its placement; inside the room and outside the room.

An indoor sun shading can be set by folding it, while an outdoor sun shading is way more static and is installed permanently outside the opening. The aim of the sun-shading installation is to avoid direct sunlight getting into the room, and we take advantage of its shadow then.
